ABOUT US We are a before and after school club, certified by Ofsted to care for up to 48 children per session. We are based in Lickey Primary school in the dining hall with access to kitchen facilities, playground and school fields. Reception children are collected from their teacher at their classroom at the end of school and escorted on the short walk across the school playground to the group. In the morning they are escorted to the reception playground and supervised until their teacher takes them in to school. Older children are given the responsibility to walk to or from their classroom to Stay and Play which encourages their independence. We offer a home from home where children can make choice, grow in confidence and move towards independence and all in a safe, caring environment. We offer a range of activities in and outdoors including art and craft, board games, toys, quiet area, construction kits and energetic outdoor sports. We offer a healthy snack of toast and nibbles with drinks freely available. Children are encouraged to prepare their own snack. Children are assigned a key worker who will help them settle into the group and provide a listening ear for any concerns or queries from the child or their parents/carers. Our staff are well qualified, experienced and caring. All have an enhanced criminal records bureau check and many also work at the school during the day. There is a good relationship with the school and an appropriate exchange of information between school and Stay and Play regarding the wellbeing of the children. We aim to provide parents with the opportunity to work, train etc. in the knowledge that their children are secure with experienced and qualified staff in a safe, caring, fun and stimulating environment.
